Clinic Manager
Job Summary
Weston County Health Services is looking for a Full Time Clinic Manager to join our teams! As the Clinic/ Office Manager you will oversee the general administrative function and activities of the Newcastle Clinic. This position will also be responsible for directing patient care and ensuring that patient care issues are addressed.
Qualification
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversees the daily work activities of the clinic
· May handle or assist with discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
· Makes nursing assignments for the next day.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Performs or facilitates maintenance of office equipment including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
· Provides clerical support when needed to assist clerical staff with assigned administrative duties such as answering phones, sorting, and distributing mail, and preparing documents
· Maintains inventory of office supplies; orders new supplies as needed
· Maintains office files; implements an efficient system for other staff to access files and records
· Participates in staff conferences.
· Nursing and leadership skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
· Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
· 5 Year of experience in Healthcare field
· PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking
· Occasional after-hours calls may occur
· Must be able to access, find, and navigate each department at WCHS
· Must be able to life 15 – 25 pounds at times
· Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing
Responsibilities
· Performs or facilitates maintenance of office equipment including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
· Provides clerical support when needed to assist clerical staff with assigned administrative duties such as answering phones, sorting, and distributing mail, and preparing documents
· Maintains inventory of office supplies; orders new supplies as needed
· Maintains office files; implements an efficient system for other staff to access files and records
· Assists staff nurses in their evaluation and assessment of patient needs and in direct patient care.
· Manages scheduling of patient appointments and receives a report from the previous shift of on all patients and identifies special patient care needs. Adjusts patient assignments to meet special needs.
· Orders medications as prescribed.
· Makes nursing assignments for the next day.
· Participates in staff conferences.
